Why did MBZ stop providing the "Flat Key"?
I had that 'flat' ignition key with my 1998 E430 and now my 2002 E55 did not come with one. The dealer says that you now have to order it. What year did they stock providing it at delivery? I liked to carry it in my wallet or in my gear. Anyone have a pic of one? New owners will definitely want to order one. Anyone know the cost? Thanks.

My 2000 E430 came with a flat key. However, I picked my car up at the factory in Sindelfingen, Germany and it came with a lot of stuff you don't get here (extra floor mats, German license plates, road hazard kit, etc.)
Got one hell of a lunch and some good beer out of them too!
