Clunk noise??? Where's that?
 

From time to time, went I go over a speed bump or turn in the driveway ramp, I hear a loud clunk, like a spring popped coming from the rear. I was trying to find out where it's coming from. I thought my shocks are bad but I wasn't sure. Anyone could give me an idea?

If The Noise is from the REAR check the Shocks and the Rear Sway bar links

If the Noise is from the Front check Lower control arm bushings/Sway bar Bushings/Shocks/lower ball joints

i have a 96 also! i noticed this weekend while doing some stereo work that If you have/had stock phone the control unit is mounted in the trunk drivers side behind the left side trunk liner. the phone control unit fits in between two brackets and moves around very easily and bangs up against the rear quarter panel i used some double sided tape to prevent it from moving around!
