Rear armrest drawer removal
How do you remove the rear armrest drawer? The one that holds the first aid kit? I thought you just had to tug hard, but there seems to be two little square "stops" or bumps that prevent the drawer from coming all the way out. Before I really mess things up, I thought I would inquire this forum.
Thanks,

MBWorld Fanatic!
As far as I know,it comes out just by pulling past the cup holder, then comes the first aid kit.

Yes, you are correct. But I want to take the entire drawer assemby out.
That is why there are two square shaped stops in the drawer itself. There must be away to unsnap the stops or something similar.

You know it's funny, I thought I was missing something when I got my car, i tried to pull the drawer to see where's the first aid, but when I read this post. I went out to my car and give it a tried. I gave a really strong pull, sure enough, there was a First Aid kit. When I looked at it, it has never been used, so I went through the content. I find the stuff already past the expiration date, so I had to toss them out including the bandages.

If you pull harder, the entire drawer will come out. That was my quest. I am thinking about putting a DVD player in place of the drawer.

I hope it's intended to keep your Bambinos occupied on trips, unless it's just for you and some hot chick in the back seat.

Currently, I moved the factory radio below the original location, it now sits behind the moving door.
In place of the radio, I put in a 5.8", manual, pull out LCD. I also have two 6.5" headrest monitors, not cut in though, mounted on headrest mounts.
The DVD player I mounted under the dash on the passenger side. The player is a few years old and is not DIN sized. It is a lot bigger. But I now have a DIN sized player.
The only reason why I have the indash monitor is check to make sure the movie is playing correctly for the kids. But my daughter is old enough now to use the player herself. That is why I thought the rear armrest would be a good place.
I oriignally took out the glove box and lower dash panel to see if I could mount a player there, but there really isnt enough depth.
If I go with the rear player, I could probably eliminate the front, indash monitor.
The all-in-one indash, monitor, DVD player setup is nice, but I did not want to spend that kind of money.
Thanks for the tips!

Your right the all in units are nice but pricey! mine is radio and lcd only removed factory stereo and replaced with motorized lcd and removed phone and put dvd player in its place. I had no need for factory outdated analog phone and wasnt up for dropping the coin to update it. if your dvd player has a remote infrared repeater you could mount it just about anywhere and probably side ways.
