Quick update: I kept the 2001 E320 that I referenced in 2005 until October 2018. Other than a transmission rebuild at 150K, it was an amazing car. When sold, it had 367k on it. And it was still a champ! Looked like a million bucks and ran great too. The guy that bought it got a great car.

1998 E320 Wagon 253K miles
Proud to have just joined the 300K mile club with my silver 1998 E320 wagon.

I've owned "Tin Man" just shy of five years. It has started up all the time every time! Had to replace alternator about a year ago.
Have not changed the battery. Has never overheated or had a hose break.

Has always kept a good idle, and decent mileage, so I never bothered to change the spark plugs until this month when I
had to get some repairs to pass smog. Mechanic said they were filthy.

Anyway, the wagon looks decent on the outside for being 20+ years old. It's useful for carrying large loads, for example a
heavy home water heater on the roof, and large boxes inside or out. I'll keep driving Tin Man til who knows when!

That's awesome man.
I can only hope to get to 300K.
Currently, my car has 233K miles, haven't been able to add much as I've been driving 2 other cars. Just sold one and will be putting the other one on the market soon. Keeping the W210 though.

2002 E320 wagon

My ‘02 E320 Wagon (VIN search mentions sport, don’t know if that denotes SportWagon of what. No badges or anything. From what I understand it was minimally cosmetic, ie small fog lights for some reason), has 228,000+ miles. Goes through a quart of between changes.
A spot of bubbling rust at rear window, otherwise it looks pretty damn good. Wedgewood Blue Metallic

Mines at 123,000. Been a serious love hate relationship the past 15 years together. I'm finally replacing the front driveshafts that have been bad for God knows how long now. Also getting two new front springs as surprise they are both broken. Paint is bad at this point as the car sat for a year and I stopped washing and waxing. Should have covered it. Motor mounts still bad. Hope to get at least 15,000 more miles out of it.

On my 98 W210 E300 Turbodiesel, I have 148900 miles, and I am loving the OM606.962, the car is very torque-y and has great passing power and fuel economy 28/29 combined MPG 20% city and 80% highway.
