1999 E320 w/129000 for 12gs
Is it worth the money? Carfax is current and it came out clean. What should I look out for a car with this many miles? What had to be done to it? What do I need to do with it?
My other option is a 97 s420 with 80k miles. That guy is going for 17800 otd (out the door) price. That one had one accident reported.
My concern is maintence. I want one that would be cheaper to maintain but still cool. The S-class rides like none other but I drive an average of 40k miles a year. (Financial rep) I need something that wont devour my gas or my pockets. TY in advance

im in so cal where prices are normally higher and i just bought my 98 e320 with 90k for 12.9k. granted i got the dealer to come off the price a little but i think you could get the 99 for less than 12k with 129k on it. if i were you (this is what im doing) find a good mercedes mechanic in your area and have them do a full inspection of your car. mine had a couple problems off the bat (the smaller right headlight was out, and left turn signal wasnt registering in the rear) but those were simple fixes, im taking mine in wednesday for a full diagnostic just to double check everything and see if anything will need replacing soon (the dealer i bought it from covers 50% of parts and labor for anything in the first 30 days)

Way too high. With this mileage the dealer got the car for baout $8,000. He is trying to make about 5 grand off of you. He will come down in price no doubt about. The care is 6 years old andin my book it is not worth more than $10,000. Do not forget the doc fee of god knows what !! what a rib off.

I was looking at autotrader.com
I was looking at autotrader.com and found that he is around $1000 over the price compared to everyone else in my area. Everything is more expensive in north jersey! I am going to get him to go down to 12,000 out the door. Hopefully I can get it.
