Has anyone experienced this phenomenon? For some phone menus that require selection by pressing a key, pressing a key on the keypad is not being recognized. The funny thing is that I don't think it is with all phone menus encountered. Any advice?

My phone did that on a menu that it always worked on before. I then tried it again and all was fine. I have not been able to get it to act up again since.
I've encountered this issue several times.. each time it has been after I've played with the 5,3-7 trick and changed the [keypad] to something not compatible with the [model] setting (eg. model = w211ece, keypad = w191us; think about it, and you'll soon see how this makes sense ).

It's a pretty common bug and more consistent with the MHI and UHI phone systems, but it still happens with the older V60 systems. It seems software upgrades make it worse rather than better.
I haven't found a combination of solutions that consistently fix the problem.
So to answer your questions: 1) Yes, people have experienced this "phenomenon" (I think that word is a little strong for what you describe); 2) My advice would be to take the care into your dealership and report the problem.
