MB head of sales to be replaced…
Well it looks as though positive things are starting to happen. Eckhard Cordes is about to hand Joachim Schmidt (MB head of sales & marketing worldwide) his pink slip. Panka (sales) was forced to retire and is currently under investigation for using Daimler funds in connection with the construction of a house on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Also, Fahr and Missing (sales) were handed pink slips after discovering “irregularities”. It’s starting in Germany, I can only hope it fans out worldwide and ultimately restores MB to where it once was! I leave you to draw your own conclusions…

I just wish that the business press (in this case, today's WSJ) would stop referring to Mercedes-Benz as the (former) "cash cow" of DCX. If Mercedes was the cash cow, does that make me fodder?
