How Do I change my Air Filter

I am having a problem locating and removing the covers that seem to be covering the air filter. I see the intakes coming from the grill and onto the side of the engine. Can someone guide me to the filter and change it? Thanks

I swear koko381, I had not seen your post before I just posted pictures of the air filter on my E320. Take a look at my post and I hope you find it helpful. If you do change the air filter, consider taking pictures to share with your fellow E500 owners.

For my car, Mercedes recommends changing the filters at 4 years or 60,000 miles. After knocking the dust out of them, I may go to the 4 year mark regardless of mileage because the filters look good. My car is 2 1/2 years old and has 48k miles. Of course, if you drive in dusty areas or on unpaved roads, I would check/replace the filter more often than Mercedes recommends. The picture you showed of your car leads me to believe that you pamper your car.

The trick is that you cannot get to the air filter from the top; you must remove the engine cover and access the filter from the bottom. Please review my other post.
