Interesting V710 Observation
 

We have the MB V710 (more or less permanently mounted in the car) and a my Verizon V710.

Our observation is that the Verizon phone didn't work in the MB. However, recently my phone had a dead battery. So, when I left the car I swapped it for the MB phone, hoping it would charge while I was away.

To our surprise the phone--the Verizon V710--worked! we made calls. We received calls. Ummm....

Then an hour later, back at the car. I started the car, then realized I needed to change phone. Now neither phone worked. Turning the car off and on didn't fix it. And my phone hadn't charged.

The next day, the MB phone worked again.

Conclusion: the MB phone responds to some digitial query on a regular basis. If it gets the wrong response, the car doesn't query again for an extended period. At least that's my guess.
