Purchased new Led Taillights from MBenzNL - Problem?

Purchased new Led Taillights from MBenzNL - Problem?
Hi everyone.
Got my new LED taillights from MBenzNL and they arrived in record time from the Netherlands (5 business days to Canada!).
Here is the issue. They are totally plug and play - installed them both, fired up the benz, and got a warning "right brake light".
When I step on the brakes, the left led brake lights shine for about 1 second, then turn off - and both the left and right night light shine brightly, presumably because mercedes does not want the top brake light shining when the other is broken (pretty cool I thought).
Dealer says right brake led lamp is defective, however the dealer is small and has made errors before. I am assuming he is right, the right lamp leds are defective. Has anyone ever ran into this problem? If so how did you correct?
I emailed MBenzNL for a replacement of the right side which I don't see being a problem if it is defective.
One thing to note, when I plugged back in the old taillights into the right side, the left side Led brake lights work fine... go figure?

Attached are pictures of the problems I am having.
The cool thing is, since one of the top brake lamps is burnt out - mercedes automatically switches the brake lights to the fog lamps for symmetry. Pretty impressive! Goes to show how much deep thought is put into these cars. If my envoy light burns out, thats it!!
