forget about getting the E55 brakes. They'll cost you an arm and a leg from the dealer. Go with the Brembo big brake kit. These are great breaks and will cost less than the original dealer E55 brakes.

Actually the E55 brake is cheaper then the Brembo .

Dealer quote me around $4000 Cdn for E55 brake incl ( Front/Rear Calipers, rotors , pads ) , that's if no need to change kuncle .

Brembo MSRP front is $4295 USD , Rear is $2795 USD .

My friend has E55 brakes on his E500. It's a direct swap. Make sure your wheels can clear the brakes.

Do you know if it is Straight Bolt-on , or you also need to buy the kuncle on all 4 corner .

Do you have price on the calipers only? Which dealer did you get yours from?

Instead of the factory rotor, there are some aftermarket two pieces rotors for the E55. A lot lighter.

List price is $760 per front caliper. There are some dealers that will give 20% off list. Making that price $608 each. $1200 for a set of calipers and another $250 for a set of pads. Rotors are cheap from the steal, but aftermarket ones are even more. Evosport is selling a set of 4 for $2000.

Speedye500,

Did you finish the front swap yet? Is it also a direct fit?

I am having E55 W211 brakes installed on my CLK55 W208. Steering knuckle had to be modified a bit, but they will be on by the end of today.

What kink of modification did you do on the knuckle? Do you also do the rear? Have any problem on the rear?

Also, on the E55 Calipers, do they use aluminum or cast iron? How is the weight of the calipers?
