Another brake failure
That being said - the more apples to apples comparison with regard to weight -
The A6 Quattro is 4016lbs. The 2WD A6 is 3836
The E350 4Matic is 3990 pounds.
Pretty much the same when you compare 2WD vs. 2WD or Quattro vs. 4Matic.

Good "before taxi" check (pilot term) to do on the car then, before one drives off with it may be to apply the brake peddle 16 times
and then see if the warning error shows up on the instrument panel.. Of course, I'm kidding, but in theory, they could probably re-do the software so it tests after only 1 or 2 brake apps and then this would become a more practical test. food for thought.

When mine failed, I shut off the engine and restarted and it was like NOTHING happened. When I went to the dealer, my first concern was that they would just tell me that I am crazy but as soon as they plugged it in, they found that it had registered a failure.
