Installing Xenon on 2005 E500~
Hey everyone... just joined the forum, just got 2005 e5004matic with panorama/entertainment pkg... was wondering if anyone had experience with installing aftermarket xenons on their w211's.. i have heard of people having error messages when they install aftermarket xenons... theres a seller from ebay that sells japanese HID kit which does not show error msg, does anyone have any experience with that?

Aftermarket Xeons
I Would advise you to Pass on the Aftermarket Xeons and go with the OEM Mercedes Xeons..Yes they are a LOT more in cost...BUT they have the correct housing...NO Hacking the wire harness..NO Bulb Check ...
Also Will the Aftermarket light company be around when You WILL Need parts...Mercedes will be!

"Steve" guy has gotten raves and uses MB parts, I'm considering on same car as you. I worry because dealer said "might void warranty if problem in future", might be scare tactic but dealer does not want to do the job and I really like xenons on my wagon.

If you're in good terms with your dealership, you can at least ask them to program the ECU to "Xenon=Present" for you. Of course, don't forget to bring them a couple cases of Miller Light.
