Questioning bang for the buck...
Does anyone ever wonder if they made the right choice with their car based upon the price per pound? I know that I'm in the minority in that I lease my car and I'm starting to think that for $900/month ($1000+ with property taxes) that it's still ONLY a 4 door sedan. Granted, one of the best on the road, but a sedan nonetheless.
I sometimes find myself taking long glances at the Cayenne and X5's thinking that for similar dough I'd have more versatility and AWD. Anyway, just my thought for the day. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Quanza, and Happy Holidays for those offended by mentioning the previously identified events.

I pay cash for my cars now...and I can get whatever I want.
In my earlier years, I seldom bought a new car, and I never leased a car. I always bought a high-end sports or sports sedan which was about three years old, had low miles, and was in perfect condition -- that way I got bang for the smallest amount of buck. It was a strategy that I employed for many years, and it worked very well.

I understand your dilemma, there are a lot of really nice cars you could have for a 1,000/month lease payment. The Cayenne S is one of the ones I look at lovingly from time to time as well, but the E is a terrific car in its own right, just not unique
