HRE, DPE, & Iforged are all great wheel companies as well, so again we're putting a non-German wheel on a German car.

I agree also. The things that are important are craftsmanship and custom fitment. Thus there is no need to use spacers or roll fenders or other things that alot of people with brand new cars just dont want to do. Also the VS-XX are availible at a reasonable price point (not cheap, but not HRE 5R series either).

We have proudly marketed and carried WORK products for quite some time now. Of course the aggressive fitments doesnt hurt the overall effect!

Great overall application (wheels / tires / spec / lowering)

Enjoy.

Yo D2 - you took so long to get back to me that my brother pulled the trigger on a set of 20" staggered HRE 543Rs and Pilot Sports.

I'm sure he could have saved a couple grand by going with you.

I hear you. I asked for a 20" fitment when I ordered my set, but they weren't available at the time! The 20's are only $200 more than my 19's, but I need to find a buyer for the 19's

Bassed on the amount of "rake" (front lower than rear), I'd say he has a lowering module or used the washer method. Car looks GREAT at that height though.

I changed the links on the front, and moved the sensor on the rear

stick with 19s. 20s are borderline bling. and you will have worse performance.

tbone, I've been following your thread since the "washer & dremel" method posts back in 2003 with Epower.

I just lowered my E500 last night using the washer & dremel method, looks sweet, was dirt cheap, and had lots of fun.

When you say you "changed the links on the front", does that mean your no longer using the washer method up front? Are you referring to the AMG suspension links?

Also, your ride looks slightly lower in the front. Can you feel any weight shift when breaking? i.e. any nose dive effect?

P.S. Gorgeous wheels!

I have never used the washer method, but if you've been following Epower's thread, look at the pictures where he placed the washers. The washers sit slightly above the link. This is what I changed. The links can be purchased, and are normally adjustable. I had custom links made.

In regards to braking, I don't feel any noticable difference.
