CD changer stuck! what's wrong?
Suddently I'm not able to play any CD or even eject them.
See only "CD ERROR" in the command [sic] display.
Tried ejecting for week and now almost give up.
Is the any "manual force" method to eject the CDs.
thanks for all replies.

as for replacing the whole thing: yes that's one option but those CDs might be lost, which is what's bugging my friend. plus it's out of warranty
CAN B – Interior databus (CAN)
CAN C – Engine databus
MOST – Digital fiber optic databus
CAN D – Diagnostic databus
This issue may be related to a CAN communication error between the Head Unit and the Upper Control Panel (UCP). Or possibly the MOST fiber optics was somehow damaged. Last it may, in fact, be that the CDC needs to be replaced. If this is the case normally the CDs will be retrieved and returned within 30 days. Although some have posted that the dealer was able to retrieve them and they were returned upon picking up the vehicle.
Suggest P-B-82.64/458 AUG05 – Compact Disc Changer Inoperable After Opening the Upper Control Panel. It states not to replace any part, a remedy is under development. If relevant this bulletin might allow for a no cost repair even out of warranty.
Hope this helps.

i'll relay it to him and let you all know if it works
the important thing was basically to remove and then restore power to the CD changer - for some reason, it then works fine. that's what, i gather, removing fuse 6 does as well: my friend did it the thorough way: disconnected everything, then reconnected it back - and it worked.
still wondering what the root of the problem is, though. perhaps what konigstiger has suggested: some sort of communications error. probably not the FO being damaged as it seems to be working fine now.
thanks again =)
