Point the key to the driver’s door handle:

OPEN - Hold the open button until the side windows and the sunroof air in the required position.

CLOSE - Hold the lock button until the side windows and sunroof are closed.

what you are pointing at is the little black IR port like on a TV remote control, some MB have them on both front doors and some have it next to the trunk release too.

Yes, point the end of the key at the IR port on the door or the trunk.

Just point the keyfob towards the car as if you were going to un-lock it. Also don't forget that if you have ventilated seats that this feature will also be activated when doing this procedure....

Do you know whch models have this for the front pessenger door in addition to the driver's door? Is it based on year, model, or package options?

tell you the truth i have no idea which models have what... funny thing is, my 1999 c230 had it on both front doors and my 2005 only has it on drivers door. i have seen 210's with all 3, some with 2, and 211 with only 1...

Ah I was just wondering. I'll be getting a E500 in about 8 months and I'd like to have this option if possible. I open the door for my girlfriend so this feature would be appreciated during the summer months on the passenger side door. I've seen the little black IR sensor on the pessenger side on some MBs on the road and not others.

Actually, This funtion opens all four (4) windows, your sunroof and activates the ventilated seats (driver) to help cool the car before entry on them real hot days.....Thought this feature was standaed on all e class auto's but not sure.
