the cost for star lowering is $250.00 plus his expenses which his sister said can range from $100-$130 depending on how many people are coming, but thats still cheap...your looking at the most $380.00

Do we need to get our cars aligned after lowering with star? And how much does this lower the car?

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Yes, we do recommend to get the car aligned after the lowering has been completed. As for the amount of lowering: that varies per car. But if you want to get more info, please send an email to info@MBenzNL.com.

BTW, we can do more than just lowering an E-class...

Since there are 5 Washington's in New Jersey, I'll answer this one. This Washington NJ is in Warren County and is about 70 miles west of the George Washington Bridge along Route 80. The zipcode is 07882.

I'm not trying to take any business away from MbenzNL. Especially since I plan on buying stuff from him in the near future but I have to confirm, that yes, I did get my car lowered at my local dealer for 105.00. Now, maybe I got that price because they had been struggling with my car for 2 weeks straight trying to get some other issues worked out. If you wanted to take a ride to Maryland, my dealer is www.euromotorcars.com Germantown location. My service advisor is Charles Estelle. Charles did tell me to keep it quiet around the service manager though. Apparently the service manager hates it when people get their cars lowered via Star.

Anyway, it's worth a phone call before you make your trip to Maryland. Like I said, that price may have been a courtesy and MbenzNL's price may end up being cheaper.

Definately don't want to step on MBenzNL's toes.

MbenzNL:

Don't jack me on the price for power folding mirrors when I get them from you!!! PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE!

Anyone can lower a Benz. But it takes a specialist to calibrate the system so that the new ride level is NORMAL and not LOW.

This is the difference of WITHIN SPEC and OUT OR SPEC lowering. Nearly everyone else does OUT OF SPEC lowering which is not correct.

I'm interested in getting the following mods done on my 03 E320:
  • Folding side mirrors
  • Program Command for DVD in motion (I have an 06 Euro command, that will play DVDs but not in motion)

I am located in Southern New Jersey, about 30 mins east of Philadelphia.

This is an old thread (June 2006). I don't know if Steve will be going to the East Coast any time soon. But we can always ship the power folding mirror feature to you for self install, and you could always consider sending us your comand unit for versioncoding.

Has anybody lowered just the rear an inch or two?

If so, how is it done and does it hurt the ride?
