just another day pic taken during my daily commute from Baltimore to Washington DC. Yes, the Kleemann KD-box did help with the gas mileage. (about 4 miles of this trip is streets and the rest is cruising at about 65-68mph)

Its also nicer that Diesel is 10-15cents cheaper than regular (87) fuel too!

4 wheeled car.
I hate the Baltimore to DC commute. It's too damned slow and too damned crowded!

thats pretty darn good... so far, i get at most about 30mpg... and here in CA, sometime diesel costs more than the highest octane gas

Shucks, that CDI mileage ain't nuttin'. My E500 recently got over 50 mpg at 70-75 mph, driving north on Interstate 5 between Lebec and Mettler, California.

50mpg

You're obviously dangling bait, hoping someone will bite on that mileage figure.

The kicker, which Left Coast readers are more likely to pick up on, is that I-5 descends 3000 feet in the 17 miles between Lebec and Mettler.

Considering the traffic I usually see in the Beltway, that is great.

Here was one of my jaunts in NYC:

reminds me of my European Road Trip :

In 9 1/2 hours we covered 708 miles at an AVERAGE of 75mph and 38mpg.

See picture on the following post

https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/50177-european-road-trip.html

Doing it again this summer

eh quit yer biotching... my ML55 sees 8.6 miles a gallon in the city, if I drive it with enough speed... and anything over 110 or so it seems like it gets a mile a gallon

Last month, I had a 750 mile day traveling to two cities in North Carolina. I have a 2005 E-500. At the start of the trip, I reset my odometer. At the end of day, I had an average economy of 28.1 miles per gallon! With a/c running most of the day. Car has 33,000 miles on it. I just wish the brake system didn't burp in city driving, that my rear view windows worked, that my sunroof would stay closed, that my driver seat adjust didn't fall apart..... Other than that, I love the car.

Anyone know? I get 9.9 litres per 100km. What does that convert to in MPG?

Harley-Davidson
9.9 liters/100 km = 23.76 MPG (US gallons)
