go flat hood emblem and leave it as that... I love the nice clean lines of my front with NO emblem... that and I think its just too much having the CL style grill on there

Anyone who doesn't know that you have a Benz unless they are hit over the head with a Tristar the size of a dinner plate, isn't worth your time anyway.

And to those who have it done, it is personal preference, if you like it, thats all that matters

Agreed. I put the CL grille on mine for all of 2 days then put it back on Ebay and someone else got to learn the hard way. Save yourself the time and money, the CL grille is obnoxious on the W211 - keep it clean and if anything go to a 5 slat W211 sport grille if you want a subtle change.

I really don't care if other people know that I drive a Benz. I just don't like how that grill looks on our car. Doesn't flow.

Well, OK. It's a matter of preference. Like 55fanatic said, if you like it, then what other people think is irrelevant. I wouldn't have it on my car, because of my preference for understatement, but each to his/her own. FWIW, I have the standard grille and a flat emblem in place of the standup Tristar. To me, that's class, but YMMV.

No! I'm saying I don't like how that looks. I have the standard sport grill with flat hood emblem. I think it's a cleaner look.

I agree...to each his/her own. Like you, I lean towards understatement. I wouldn't put the CL grill on my car for that reason, but mainly because I don't think it's a good fit for our body style.

Does anybody have a pic of the CL grill installed on an E? I'd kinda like to see that.
