I just bought a wagon and have a question!

Hello everyone! And thank you for your time. I'm a Mercedes enthusiast and have owned many Mercedes over the years. A couple days ago I purchased a beatiful 2004 e320 4matic estate. And as I drive it, to me it feels like the running temperature is a little high. The car once it's get to its running temp it's always between 90 to 100 degrees celcious. It has yet to been over 100 and I've let it idle quite a bit. And I've driven it in traffic. On the highway it goes down to 90. It seems a bit high for an e320. Specially the weather being around 40 to 60 degrees fahrenheit. I have tried to research what I think it's an issue, some people say it's normal some say it's too high. But none of these cars were the same as mine.

Thank you in advanced!

Mine is typically at the 90 mark when it's hot, maybe it goes to 100 if it's in the city, haven't really noticed, 90-100 is basically in the middle. You might want to just flush the coolant.

I recommended calling MBUSA, and pose the questions to them.

Thank yall, I just drove the wagon back home from where I bought it, and it was a 750 mile trip and the engine temperature at first was at 95 degrees celcious on the hwy at 80 to 85 MPH which is what I drove the whole 10 hour trip. Once the temperature outside started dropping to around 40 degrees celcious the engine temp dropped to around 90... I was just worried about this trip. And it did it wonderfully, so smooth, and got like 22.5 Miles per gallon. Love this thing.

thats a normal range but 100 is the upper end of normal imo. i would just replace the coolant and thermostat to be sure.
