HK and CD options merited if getting NAV?

HK and CD options merited if getting NAV?
Is one wasting their money to order the Harmon Kardon 7 and CD player upgrades ($700 and $400 respectively) if one is going to go for the NAVIGATION option eventually? I understand that the cassette player will be deleted when the NAV unit is retrofitted. What about the HK7 and CD player?

Good question. I wasn't going to get the Nav system but after reading the posts on this site and the $500 discount from MB I think I'm going to add it. I have my dealer checking this out. When he gets back to me I'll post the info.
I too have the Hk system with CD changer and would like to know the effect if any on these options if I have the DVD retro fit. Anyone know?

space to fit CD in dash with NAV?
I believe the 400 dollar add on CD player is a multi cd player that fits in the dash in the same location where the cassete player would be located. Since one loses the cassette player when the NAV is retrofitted wouldn't the optional CD player also have to be removed? Or am I wrong and is there enough space for both?

Test-drove the E500 yesterday.
The Cd changer would go below where the casset deck is, and behind the ESP, seat heat heater and door lock/unlock button panel.
It is really cool, the panel would open and close at a touch of a button!

2003 MB E500
The MB website doesn't show ANY Nav system (DVD or CD-ROM) as an option on the 2003 E. My dealer hasn't called me back regarding paying for the Nav now and having it retro-fit later at a $500 discount. Wouldn't the MB site mention this as an option if it was available?
