wheel and tire swap...

is it possible for the dealer to swap the standard tires and wheels on a purchased vehicle? here is what i would like. i like the look of the non-sport version of the E500 better than the sport version. i am getting charcoal interior so the black birdseye maple doesn't look as good as the burl walnut. i also like the the look of wood around the shift as oppossed to the aluminum trim. IMO the front apron is much sportier on the non-sport version. o.k. enough ranting! however, i like the sport version wheels/tires much better than the split spoke standard wheel/tire setup. will the dealer make this swap? for an extra fee of course!

Yes they will. Your dealer should have a wheel/tire specialist to help you. I too am trying to get the sport wheels with the non-sport package. You basically get charged for the new rims and tires and get some credit for what originally came with the vehicle. I'm hoping they can get those for me or else perhaps an AMG set. If you look at mbusa.com, they show a couple of wheel options that are very expensive, around $2800 I believe and that is sans tires but they don't say if that is the upgrade price or if you still get some credit.

I'm thinking what I want will be around $1500 - $2000 after all is said and done. My car won't be here for another 2 months so I haven't gotten any specifics from my dealer yet but would appreciate any info as well.
