New E550 Arrived
I've been around for a long time, but post rarely. Here's something worth posting though.
My father has just received his new E550, Granite Grey, Sports and Premium Packages. The Canadian Premium package is akin to the American 02 package, except without trunk closer and satellite radio- no doubt a marketing decision.
The car is simply amazing. Coming from a early W220, the quality improvement is immense. It compares very well to the pre-facelift W211. The engine is wonderful. It has impressive thrust even in break-in rev range, and sounds glorious.
Interior is a little tight, unfortunately. Computer takes some getting used to, but it's more traditional than the 5-series or the new S. The 10-spoke wheels are a tad... bling, but perhaps that's just my own judgement.
But, I have one complaint about the car. The aluminium studded pedals appear to be missing.
