Auto Spies says 320 engine will phase out

The Spies confirm their suspicions
Mercedes-Benz 350 engine
The Spies suspicions are confirmed...
Sources confirmed this week our prediction for Mercedes-Benz to phase out the 320 engine and replace all existing 320 variants with the 350 motor.
What we're told is MB is just reducing leftover inventory of 320's and when the supply has been exhausted, they will phase all vehicles over to the new 350 engine, starting with the ML.
This is a common practice in the industry...remember when BMW came out with the latest 3 with the 328 engine and within six months phase it out with the 330?
MB will do the same....
With vehicles like the G35 and others having 260HP, it only makes sense for MB to stay competitive.
So I doubt that they are phasing out production of this engine. Besides, Dodge/Chrysler is going to use it in its new roadster, I forget what it is called -- and the C and SLK use the 320 engine, with great results.
Hell, it will probably show up in a few other Daimler products with American nameplates --
Dare I say...PT Cruiser320....AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
