E500 wagon
I was almost ready to close the deal on a used 2004 E500 wagon and got to reading on the net. Like anything around today you have some good reviews and some bad. What is the general thought about this car. I have never owned a MB before and would like to step up from what I have to one but don't want to get caught in a bad situation. I have read about some electrical problems mostly concerning the brakes. Is there any other comments I should know before taking the plunge. I believe that the car was previously leased and has around 30K. It has a few blemishes on the finish which aren't too bad but what concerned me the most was the amount of damage to the rims. They weren't bent by eye but were scored completely around on all 4 rims. Is this somewhat common or a sign of poor city parking?
From what I see around this model year with fairly low mileage is selling for around 40K from the dealer with extra warranty and low financing. Does all this seem right for what I am looking at?
Thanks in advance, Sammy
Should I stay away from a pre-owned lease that looks iffy.
Thanks, Sammy
