Rear tires are rubbing

I just bought new rims and tires from a local rim shop. I'm running stock suspension but with two people in the rear the rear tires rub on the fenders in turns or over bumps. This is on stock suspension and I'm planning to upgrade to H&R.

Rear wheel specs are as follows:
20x9.5, 275/30/20, ET 30

This was the recommended setup from the shop which I bought the rims from. I've attached some pictures of the setup.

Will this work with any amount of fender rolling (really dont want to do this)? The offset seems too aggressive.

Your set up is about right. It looks better when your tires kinda flush on the fender. It makes the car looks wider. Well, all you need is fender rolling and lowering springs. Your set!

et of 30 on a 9.5inch will indeed rub. Rolling the fender will fix it, but I'd get the offset corrected instead. A 275 has plenty of room on the inside.
I like an et of 37 for a 9.5 inch rim, since I like to run 285 or 295s on it. 275s may work with about an et of 34.

I've played a but load with 9.5 inch rims, so I'm pretty sure of what I say. Whomever told you that was the "ideal" offset needs to suck it up and get you new rims. It may be that those rims only come in certain sizes?

Thanks for the info man. I'll call up the wheel shop and see what they can do but I doubt they'll sack up and swap rims.

Mine has no vibration at all or even you exceed 100 mph. Im using spacers with built in hubcentric rings on all four sides. My front tires kinda flush on my fender and the rear tires kinda sticking out a lil bit. I like how it looks from angle

I talked to the rim shop today and they claim the rubbing is because I'm using the incorrect tire sizes. However, I'm running the tires they recommended. I guess Im pretty much screwed. It looks like they sold me rims with the wrong offset and refuse to fix their mistake.

It looks like my only option is to dispute the charges on the AMEX?

Oh hell yeah. That is easy!! Wrong size tire? What are you supposed to run?

Trust me those offsets are OFF!! That is an easy one. 275s should easily fit. What size do they say you should be running on 9.5 inch width rims?

He says I should be running a smaller sidewall - 25.

Which is probably correct, but he told me to buy these tires. And they would work if the offset wasnt completely off.

I see your in San Diego? Ever heard of Eurotech wheels?

I called AMEX and I'm going through the process of disputing the charges. I guess I'm going to dismount the tires from the rims and drive all the way down there tomorrow and see what Eurotech will do.

They should look like this!!! Thats a 275/30/20 Nitto. Sport suspension 2007.

P.S.: The front tires rub the wheel liner slightly when reversing and turning sharply.

I'm in San Diego. Did you buy them from Eurotech? I can do some legwork for you here in town if it would help. Going to a 25 series tire is only going to make a smaller diameter tire. it may not stop the rubbing you are having.

Damn, dude why you gotta go and buy 20s? jeez. Let me know if I can help.b

Looks good, what offset is that?

The 275/30/20's fit perfectly with the right offset rims.

I have rolled fenders. Im running on 19x9.5 +35 265/35/19 with 10mm spacers. It sticks out very little but no problem rubbing at all. Im planning to put 15mm spacers instead but not sure if its goona rub I just love how it looks. It makes the car look more bulky hehe

So you have an effective offset of +25 on a 9.5" rim? I dont see how that can work. It must be that 19s have a different sidewall shape than my 20s did.

Edit: Is this on a w210? That might make sense...

Don't get confused by that. I'll bet he does not compress the suspension enough to get the lip and tire together.

i would have gone with 265s, or roll the fenders.
