I had intermittant operation of keyless go operatin (It even stopped cranking mid crank & displayed "key not recognized"!)on my '04 for the 1st couple of years, 'till they swapped out the "Brake Switch". Try stepping on the brake pedal a little harder. If they doesn't work, have them check the "brake switch"... They replaced mine & the keyless worked every time after that.

I'd have thought they would have solved this by now.

keylesss go

LOL,
Thank god someone else posted that. I also had some intermittent issues with my keyless go. This is my first mbenz with the feature, the clk did not have it so i thought i was just releasing the brake pedal too quickly. When i firmly hold down the brake the 2nd time then push start it goes. Or maybe its just because its the second time?

Interesting, I'll have to give that a shot.. Thank for the idea.

It really pisses me off in the E, because my S and CL don't have this issue.

Interesting, I came to this thread because I am getting frustrated with my 04 E320's 'flaky' keyless go and thinking about a new E. Disturbing to see that it can still be an issue four years later. Still I will drift over to the new car section when I drop mine off for them to 'fix' my key problems.

I couldn't be happier. My old CLK430 was wearing out, and i needed a new ride. The E350 fills the bill nicely.

BTW, I'm Tony, and I'm new here. I can't wait to begin contributing to this great forum!

Agreed. I nearly pulled the trigger on the E550 but because of the peppy V6 I went for a similarly equipped E350. I used the nine grand I saved as a down payment on a new Harley!
