E550 4matic mods

OK, I am bummed - a former E55 owner with a few exotics in the stable - I now need an all wheel drive for daily use. I love AMG - performance as well as styling - but they are not doing anything AWD in the states (never have and never will).

What are the options via Brabus/Kleeman, etc. on nice but aggressive mods and engine mods for the 2007 E550?

It's not an answer to your question, but if you're not fully committed to an E550, have you looked at the Audi S6? It's got AWD and its acceleration is somewhere between a stock E550 and an E55.

Thanks, but I am not a big Audi fan (had a quattro coupe in the early 80s and almost pulled the trigger on the RS4, but...)

I thought the specs for a 1999 E55 were pretty close to a 2007 E550 4Matic.

They are; however, the E550 has lost the edge in looks both inside and out - handling, and when you are used to 500hp cars, it is a bit lacking in the grunt department.

Just drive one and see what you think. The 550 is a rocket. But, I can't say I am used to driving 500hp cars - I would like to be if that counts for anything

Also, I have heard they will begin offering the AMG styling for the 350 and 550 so this might be a way to at least meet your requirements in the looks department.
