Bluetooth Phone Book

I have added a few new numbers to my cell phone but the new ones don't show up on my car command phone book? Is there something else I need to do?

Have you tried re-syncing it yet?

When new numbers are added, they will not appear in the phone book unless you drop the BT connection and then reconnect. The phone book data tranfer only happens when the COMAND system scans for the phone. I found this out also when I started using my razor cradle. Good Luck

The other thing to be aware of is that the bluetooth module does not preserve the distinction between "home", "work" and "mobile" numbers like the physical cradle seems to.

I upgraded from a Motorola V60s to a Motorola E815. I bought both the E815 cradle and the Bluetooth cradle. I tell you, I'm torn about which I like most. Obviously charging and the vehicle antenna are the reasons to go with the physical cradle, but you have to remember to pull it out when you leave the car.

The Bluetooth is convenient, works well (other than some complaints about sound quality), and doesn't require me to remember to pull my phone out, but the address book is problematic.

It completely erases the distinction between the various kinds of numbers. I haven't yet figured out a good way to overhaul people's names to preserve the distinction, and it really does adversely impact the usability of the COMAND with a bluetooth phone.

Syncs wickedly fast with the phone, though.

I just read the manual that comes with the bluetooth puck. It states that if you make changes to your phonebook, it will not download the changes. It tells you to pop out the puck and re-insert it while you're synced up and it will re-download the phonebook.

Or if your phone has the option of sending an entry via bluetooth you can send it to the MB BT System and it will show up.
