What version does it reflash to?

Euro command problem !!!
So I just installed my Euro command on my 03 E500. Almost everything works, and it was really easy to install.
But for some reason, it does not read any of my CDs or DVDs !!!! I went into the engineering menu and changed the region setting to the first one which I believe is for all regions, but it still does not read either. What could be wrong ?
All it give me is DVD error when I install a DVD, and sometimes it gives me a DVD error when I install a CD and sometimes it just doesn't do anything at all...
Please help.....

First things first: Where'd you get your EURO COMAND? Was it a reputable source? Or did you end up buying a discounted unit [not knowing] that it had a faulty drive?
Second, and this probably goes without saying, but.. are you testing with original DVD/CDs?
Third, is the command set for w211_ECE on the [3,5+7] screen?
And last, double-check your connections, maybe something is loose.

Well, I bought it on ebay, but the guy had excellent feedback, so I did a little research and went ahead and bought it.In his auction, he stated that it was in "excellent working condition". The command looks and functions great, except for the CD/DVD error its gives.
I am using original DVDs and CDs, I even bought new ones to make sure.
I also was able to get into the [3,5,7] screen and it was already set to w211_ECE, so I went ahead and changed it to the AMG version w211_ECE to get the AMG logo to pop up at startup.
As far as connections, I do not have the CD changer, so what other connections could there be ? There was only one connection to the back of the unit. Am I missing something else?

I did a search, and found someone with a slightly similar problem. He had the dealer reflash the command after which everything worked, according to him/her.
Do you think my dealer can reflash a euro command ? and what exactly do they do?

It is similar to reinstalling Windows on a computer..

Who can tell me how to goto Engineering mode and Hidden Menu within Engineering mode on 2006 W211 Comand??
