Sometimes it pays to shop
The saga of my search for an E-350 4-matic seems to have ended this evening.
I had expressed concern about a salesman at a local dealer not "working" to find the car that we wanted.
So this evening on a whim, we started to do a search the old fashoned way, on the phone. Another location of the dealer I had been complaining about had the car in stock Black/Black P2, Sport, Pano. The original salesman called about a similar car with options that we did not want, mostly the wood/leather wheel.
We would have prefered the leather interior, but we didn't want to order because the money factor on the lease was good and it seems that they may have some trunk money.
We found it odd, that one branch of the same dealer would not exchange cars.
They did have a black/black SLR on the floor. That car is like a cacoon (sp) all I can say is; once the door closes, you are hooked. But I seem to have spent my last $450k on something else.
