Just my personal opinion (which doesn't mean jack anyway) It has nothing to do w/ classy or not.
Besides lower output from higher kelvin HID.

It is more like... when I look at a 4300~5000K HID, I see "that car is nicely equipped"

But when I look at bluish 6000+ HID, I see "that car got a $200 headlight"

Nothing to do with being classy, just blinding when you're behind someone at night. The worst are those who feel compelled to turn on the rear foglamp too, so that you're blinded coming from behind as well.

+1.
Looks good during the day I think. During the night, you will turn into the biggest a**hole on the road.

Oh, and I see that you are in L.A. Good luck not getting pulled over with those on at night.

I would say that's an adjustment problem then. I think most people feel compelled to adjust the fogs to a height that is totally unacceptable after installing them. Fog lights are not made to shine on street signs! Just make sure you do not aim them higher than the height of the bulb themselves. You should be ok then.

What would happen if the light beam is shined any higher then the bulb itself? Well imagine light pattern as a single laser beam. If we were to shine the fogs against the wall. It’s no big deal at 10 feet, but notice what happens when we back up. The laser pattern starts climbing up the wall and at some point that pattern would be at eye level to oncoming traffic.

I understand that the fogs do not have as clean of a cut off point as projectors but I have HID on my fogs and never had anyone flash me except when I crest a hill. I also had my wife follow me in the car with myself in a lowered S2000 and I still had no problems with the intensity of the fog lights.

thanks for opinions everybody.
frankly i dont think its any worse than having an SUV even with stock xenon behind you than a sedan with 6000k and over head and fog lights.

and i did already get the ticket for the headlights being blueish...but (not that i want to use it as an excuse) the cop was very **** towards me in general and my limo tint (i took it off already) and it felt like it was more of him having some envy, and showing his power by writing me up for everything possible. but thats another topic. and no, i wasnt snobby at all.

I like those lights, I as well upgraded to xenons yet not upgraded the fog lights. I figured since I hardly use the fog lights, not worth spending the money for it at the moment. That bluish look seems nicer than the stocks that seem to be purple as the car approaches...

In theory, lower wavelength will travel further, generate less heat.

so, get the 3000K HID and I want to see how that work on yours.

nah, I was only kidding.
It is quite unsafe specially at night since lower wavelength doesn't really reflect off color surface that effectively.

do you need to get caps for the HID kits for the fogs? I know for the headlights, if you use cheaper kits your warning light turns on or they flicker. what about the fogs?

for headlights, my car came with xenon, so all i had to do is just switch bulbs
for the fog lights, no flicking, but the error mag comes once in a while and goes away.

Any way to elimate error messages without using error code eliminators?
