my e is slow , slower then the exact same car
can some one please explain this to me.
i have a 2007 e350 sport, my relative has the exact same car.
both our car are bone stock, absolutly identicle, except i have 2500 mile and they have 7000.
for some reason my relatives car is so much quicker then mine. we raced and both times i lost by a car length. plus his car had more wieght in the trunk then mine.
i did an ecu reset but it didnt help, i went to the dealer and they said im crazy. but everyone saw that i got spanked by the exact same car..... no gimmics no launching no nothing. we raced several time, switching driver and my car is slower.
NO MODS on any of the two, can anyone maybe give me a reason y!!!

no as embarising as this sound its my sisters car and i know its bone stock, she drives like a woman and never pushes the car.
imaybe im not reseting the ecu right, i followed the instructions but feel no diffrence,
im so upset, deaer brushes me off but what is going on!!!

Did either of you follow the break-in procedure? maybe she did it exactly right, and you were heavy footed during the break-in? Who knows ..
Are the tires the same? the wheels the same? S/C mode setting the same?

Its all about he driver.. When your race someone has to lose you never tie 100%. my guess is your car was in comfort mode and started out in 2nd gear and theirs was in sport aka standard mode and started out in 1st. Line up put both cars into 1st gear by hitting the stick to the left do a 3 2 1 count down and floor it. Or better yet do a 10 mph rolling start basically one of you will jump ahead because of faster reaction and keep steady.

sorry man u just happened to get the *****tier one.. not all cars are created equal.. maybe yours was on Fri afternoon and those MB techs had one too many german beers when putting yours together. sorry

Better gas? Less gas in the tank, so the other car was lighter? Lighter driver? There are so many variables that it would be impossible to end in a tie. If you're that worried about it, have both cars dynoed. That will be the end all.

Shouldn't both cars accelerate the same at kick-down? Perhaps a minor difference if the other one is already at first gear while the other one would use comfort setting and would need to shift to first gear first.
I assume shift adaptations do not have effect at kick-down?

As I stated before, get them both dynoed if it's bothering you that much. That will tell you definitively if there is a problem or not.

Have you considered competing against your sister while she is driving your car and you are driving hers? Just maybe it's the driver.

1. make sure you're using Super Unleaded
2. check to see if your air filter needs to be cleaned
3. get dyno'd
4. ...and when you both race heads up, while at the start have your left foot lightly touching the break and your right foot touching the gas, then...you're off!!!
