Clear Exact Fit Mats For W 211's

I just got clear exact fit mats for my E 500. Excellent quality mats, and they do not slide around. For more information you can go to www.exactmats.com call their 800 number and order them.

Clear mats

Are they blank or do they have advertising on them?

Could you please take a pic of your new mats?
I went to their website but there are no pics.

I want to have those over the AMG ones that I got from Europe.

Check out bmms8's picture thread titled "my car". He has clear mats from the dealer.

Yes the mats are clear without any writing or advertising. The ash interior is so light, I don't want to get any stains on the floor mats. They were $50.00

When my brother comes in town next weekend, I'll take pics of them....he has a digital camera

The web site that rajswift posted did have an email "contact us" on it. I emailed them and asked for prices for the 2003 e-series along asking if they had another site with pictures and more information.

Why clear mats?.....Maybe not, but don't want to screw up the regular mats this winter and these sound better than the old black rubber winter mats.

Worth taking a look. rajswift said they were only $50.

Here is Vishall's, but from the dealership.

I just went back and checked and this is the same company I bought my clear mats from for my Honda minivan. The product is excellent, and I highly recommend. I paid ~$100 for minivan mats, but there is a lot more floor space. On my minivan, I occasionally lift up the mats, and the carpet underneath is brand new.

One note, we have had them for 3 years and the driver's side floor mats have turned yellow and a little opaque (where most of the foot traffic is). Just keep in mind, in the area of most foot traffic, they won't stay "clear" for more than 2 to 2.5 years.

Not Grand

Some folks I know, rather than using clear mats or those black rubber winter mats that MB sells, resign themselves to buying standard floor mats from MB every other year or so. Just an option.

That's exactly what I plan to do.

Weathertech.com (mats.com) has mats that look like the black M-B winter mats but they also offer them in grey and tan. According to their website these mats are not yet available for the 2003 E-series yet... here is the number if anyone is interested in finding out about how soon they will be available for the '03's... 800.313.7601

I have them in my '01 and the fit is great... had the black M-B mats but didn't like the look of the black with the Java interior. $89.95 for the full set of front and rear mats.

Why buy clear mats when the REAL mats are only $80-100?

I prefer the little plastic clear mats that sell for $3/each at Pepboys. They fit under the "heavy traffic" area.

My original mats are stowed away, and I bought new dealer mats and the little plastic squares.

bmms8 Nov 3, 2002 02:43 PM

because they wont get dirty, our dealer gave us fre mats, and they are a exact fit....and cleaning them is a breeze cuz its plastic

For an Ash interior, just buy a set of Charcoal mats from MB. Look great and do not show any marks or smudges. Put in your Ash mats when you want to show off the car. I am really not a fan of plastic mats of any kind...clear or colored.

You buy floor mats to protect the carpet...not more mats to protect the mats.

clear mats exact fit

just my 2cents, weather tech actually makes their mats by digitally imaging the interior of benz cars, and therefore are exact fit, these guys have come to the dealership many times and taken cars for product development, we in the midwest are big advocates of the products they make, and best of all they give you choices, color, style, depth, and stand behind the products they manufacture and sell.

i love and would recommend exact mats (clear looks). it's perfect with my E500. the only thing i hate about the mats are the smell. it smells plastic and it's too strong. took 1-2 months to get rid off.

codex57 Jul 30, 2004 06:58 AM

I have those. Only annoying thing is the rears get squished if I slide the front seats back. They get all bent and out of shape. But, I need the clear mats cuz it's the only way to keep the stupid stone carpeting semi-clean yet still visible (cuz I love the color so damn much).
