wheel fitment questions
Hi all...long time lurker, first time posting. I recently got my first MB, an 08 E 350 w/sport package. Love this forum (has helped a lot) and love my new ride. My only issue is with the brake dust and keeping those new wheels clean! Was hoping to go to a "simpler" wheel, with not as many spokes and was wondering if wheels for other MB models will also fit my E so that I can look for some "take-offs". Thanks in advance for any help!

I felt exactly as you do, and went with a set of 07 CLS 5 spoke wheels with factory Michelin Pilot V rated all season tires. Cleanup is much easier, and they look very much at home on the E class, quite similar in appearance to the current "AMG package" wheels. I put my stock 07 sport wheels/tires into storage for trade in time in a few years.
I just did a 400 mile road trip last week, and averaged well over 28mpg running pretty high speeds, and concluded that they do not materially impact fuel mileage despite being slightly wider than the E wheels.
I do know of one available CLS wheel/tire set on the east coast, they also pop up on Ebay from time to time and are not that expensive, relatively speaking.
