Just going throught some of the threads.... I have a 05 e320 that I would love to add th ehands free to. I have seen in the 04 that people have just added the cradle and the puck and had the star system activate it and it works? Is that the same for the 05. Does anyone have any detailed explanaations of exactly what will work and what wont and what the different parts do. I have a hard time coughing up 2300.00 for the dealer to do this and 1300.00 for Sirius etc etc. thanks

It is MUCH more complicated and expensive to do an 05 on than an 03 or 04, simply because the TeleAid system was made less complex (read: cheaper) in 05, and became unable to act as the "guts" of the handsfree system. Bummer.

Argos has FINALLY released their bluetooth solution for the W211. I think it's about 800.00 but it's supposed to be super easy to install and give you all of the functionality of an OEM system.

Weird. I got an email from them saying it was ready. But we've been down this road with them for the last 2 years.
