E320 4MATIC owners: what real life gas mileage do you get?

2008 EPA revised rating for 2005 E320 4MATIC is only 17 city, 23 hwy, 19 combined. You'd barely get 300 miles out of a tank if you do mostly city driving on 21 gallon tank.

Are you owners getting about 17/23?? These numbers are quite lower than I'd expect out of the 6 cyl motor.. ? :nix:

I get as low as 19.2 if I am only driving about 2-mile trips in the cold winter (with winter fuel and snow tires). Otherwise, if I just drive a bit longer on my errands around town I easily get about 21. On the highway I never get bellow 24.5, I usually can still average about 28.6 + while still averaging about 68 MPH. I have gotten in the 30 MPG for a tank, but only when I drove the speed limit (about 65). The life average of my car since it had 7 miles to now, with 35,000 is 21 MPGs.

I don't think that is bad at all for a 4-matic! I will be driving about 5,000 miles this June, so I will finally be able to drive full tanks on the highway. This should give me a better idea, but 560 miles per tank is totally doable in my car. Just to explain my driving style, My OEM Continentals were to the tread indicators by 22,000 miles, but my brakes are at about 60% and I have 35,000 miles on the car. I have a lead foot and I corner fast, but I am never hard on the brakes.
