SBC noise getting louder !!

good thing it's still under warranty ! but wow these benz's are a piece of crap !!! I can't believe these trivial problems on a car that only has 39,000 miles 2005. amazing.

should I be concerned with it ? It's not that big deal, I take it to dealer and they give me loaner. U figure benz would be fed up with their piece of crap cars by now. they are flipping the bill for the loaner to !!

yup went back twice.

first time it was done, they over adjusted it and the car felt too heavy and brakes felt overly tight.

went back for the 2nd time and felt like it was fixed.

but now it's noticeably louder. looks like 3rd time may be the charm.

You'd better hurry and buy a Camry.

In assuming you had the dealer install the pulsation-damper suction hose and bleed the system (P-B-42.46/27e NOV07), there are two SBC diagnostic flowcharts posted on SDS. The first “SBC Flowchart” focuses on noises unique to the SBC hydraulic unit, while the second “SBC BOU Flowchart” focuses on Brake Operating Unit noises as per bulletin P-B-42.46/56 JAN05.

yup that's right. I should expect the more expensive, prestigious car to be more problematic than the cheaper, less prestigious car.

that makes total sense.

No it does not. Problematic cars are all about poor design or poor quality control. My '04 211 was a disaster... always in the shop. Monthly for three to ten days, my '07 has been in the shop once for a few hours, within the 1st 6 months after delivery to have something very minor replaced with a later version. It has not done anything quirky or been in for any unscheduled repairs or service except for that time.

Good design and execution on the car. MB has gone from "worst to first" on JD Powers newest survey, since MB finally admitted they were delivering a crap product a couple of years ago and vowed to fix the E Class. The 07 > 211 has been a pleasure and a prevelidge to own and drive.
