That is the worst idea ever, in my opinion. It would look off and weird. If anything, I was thinking about putting the blue-ish tint over the lights on my car. I have seen it and it looks pretty good. But its your car so you gotta do what you think you would like.

lol... i'm assuming that you were kidding with this thread... you'd need to a whole black-out theme going to pull it off (and even then you shouldnt go with such a dark tint... it's the high beam!!! you might want to use it some time without impairing its function)...

Based on that picture, NAY for me to.
I've been thinking last few weeks on getting light smoke tint. But everytime I thought about it, the argument I kept getting stuck on was: why would I reduce the amount of light? Everyone else is seeking brighter / whiter, and I am thinking of putting sunglasses on my lights
I want to protect my headlights from chips and rocks, so I will look for clear PVC covers eventually. Ebay sellers have them for about $40, for the 6 front lights.

Someone on the E-AMG forum had smoked/tinted their headlights and it came out pretty good. I don't have the time to search for it, but that would probably give you a better idea.

I thought someone ripped off the lamps....Or looks like air vents for 'Ram Air Set up'....
it may look good with a light tint... the car has to be blacked out though...

For $40, I really wonder about the quality of the product. I had all 6 of mine covered with 3M clear shield -- the same material that is used to protect bumpers and hoods from rock shields. The 3M product is guaranteed not to peel off or yellow. I had it professionally installed by Detailing Dynamics in Mineola and they came out great (you'd never know they were covered). Note that installing this stuff on the headlights is not easy as they have compound curves.

No photochop skills so that's the best i could do but a light smoke was what i wanted. Can someone do a real photochop with blacked out grills.
