Hi guys,

back from the dealer and my COMAND still says Please Insert Telephone.

Would it help to update the COMAND head unit with the latest software?

If so, what part number would that CD have? It is an 2006 Euro COMAND!

Not sure, but indication on the forum is that in updating you will loose video in motion. Possibly someone familiar with EU can comment.

I want to update my Euro COMAND too, but couldn't find the Update CD in the USA dealer.

I just called MB of San Diego and they told me they would not get the Update CD for Euro COMAND's in! It is not even listed in their system he said!

I just remember that on one occation the dealer turned off this SOS message in my cluster display with SDS since I don't have a subscribtion. Could that be the issue?

I'm not familiar with Tele-Aid but if the Control Unit was disable by version coding (to remove the message), isn't it likely if not obvious that Comand does not see the device and then not the phone? Hopefully there is a solution that makes the phone work without bringing the SOS message back.

There must be members who have this cradle replacer with analog Tele-Aid, did you get rid of the warning (if yes, how)?

the teleaid warning in the IC has nothing to do with the BT puck/dongle/whatever to work - neither does the euro comand...just have somebody do the programming through stardiagnose who knows what he/she is doing

Which warning do you mean? A mechanic turned off the SOS warning and I think he did that by deactivating TeleAid. That would be my last guess on this issue.
