No backlight illumination on my headlight selector panel??

I drove my car at night after a long time and maybe it had slipped my mind earlier, but do we not have backlight illumination on our headlight selector panels?? The rotary switch and the headlight height adjuster switch themselves have a orangey-yellow backlight but not the panel behind. I found this strange as my 210 had it, my 203 had it, my Skoda before had it.
Or is this only on my car??

It was discussed here already. Perhaps MB thinks that you keep the switch in auto mode and never change it again? In opposite, my BMW has it nicely illuminated, but no use either.
