Interior light fuse on 96 e-320 keeps blowing
Just joined up.
I see a lot of good info here and was kinda hoping for a little help.
I have the number 3 fuse under the back seat blowing out and killing all interior lights(dash is not effected). It is listed as lights/cpu. It initially blew out, and l replaced it, and it lasted for 2 weeks. Since then, the blow out time has been faster and faster. Last fuse went an hour.
Any thoughts? I've looked over some of the lighting fixtures and havens seen any frays or burns.

Have you tried a larger fuse. On my BMW I put in a fuse that had a higher rating, and it has held for years now. It is a 99' and around 2003 it started with the same problem. Otherwise obviously some component is causing an overload.

I was sorta in hopes of the obvious, yet most times I overlook the obvious. At least I went looking for a fuse. Last fiasco I did was start searching down wires for a burned out running lite bulb. Sure felt stupid that day when I finally looked at the bulb. DUH!
