Good-Bye Yellow Parking light, Hello LED
After several attempts to change out the incandesant bulbs with ones that match the OEM HID, I found a fast and simple soultion under <$25 and 25 minutes.
STEP ONE Buy (2) 5 Watt 100OHM resistors from http://www.autolumination.com/
STEP TWO Buy (2) Wedge T10 White LEDs available from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318
STEP THREE Splice in the resistor inline on both pos and neg side of the parking light (you will have extra length on the wire harness if you take out the hi-beam). Each connection will have (3) wires joined together and two splice per light. Reccomend cutt/splice rather then inline splice for soild connection. Wrap with black electrical tape and install T10 LED and reinstall into housing. Total time 12-15Min per side.
Thats it! Its bright matches the oem light AND NO lamp failure indication.

I got mine here and they look similar to the ones you installed. No error codes whatsoever. No resistors to install. Just plug and play. Have had them on the car for several months.
I did however install those same resistors that the OP used for the led license plate bulbs. Those work great and no error codes on those either.

I kinda like the yellowish parking lights and how the offset the HID running lights. Just me I guess, but the parking lights match my clear corner bulbs which are basically yellow and my Brabus fog lights so I think I'll keep em'. Thanks for the writeup though I'm sure people will benifit from it.

Yea, its never as easy as they say. its such a small amount of cash and time for a completely new look! well worth it. I am changing the fog and high beams to PIAA H7 and 9006 this weekend so all the front lights match!
