Maintenance Help/Question for a New Owner
I just purchased a used 2007 E350. The maintenance reminder in the multifunction display reads "Service C due in 10,000 miles" The Maintenance Booklet 2007 Passenger Cars that I received with the car only mentions US Services 1 - 20. There is no alphabetical maintenance plans in the book. What should I make of this? What should I tell my mechanic what to perform?

Your mechanic, if an MB mechanic, should know what needs to be done. It is stored in the FSS system, and also can be found in this literature:

Does this mean my Maintenance Booklet is useless then? It appears so. Why the discrepency?
The link you sent me to mentioned nothing about C Service.
I would like to know what is needed to be done to my car before I take it to a service place.
What bothers me is that the car I'm driving is telling me one thing, and the documentation something completely different, and you link too.

MB used to use the service letter to estimate the number of hours needed to complete the service. A=1 hour, B=2 hours, etc. This has been deprecated and now only A and B services are used, and the maintenance schedule in the literature referenced above is followed. The car will continue to show the C-F letters, but the actual work performed is listed on the PDFs in the link above.
