today i took the radio out & the first thing i notice was that there was no antenna cable plugged in to the slot where it should have been & i couldn't find it so i have a appointment at the mb dealer in the morning. now while i had it out i did notice one of the two fiber-optic lines was flashing a red light
Mine didnt have it for sure and radio working perfect.

Ive seen some aftermarket head units that fit exactly.
On a side note, i would pay the seller a visit and beat my moneys worth out of him!
My 2003 has done thse strange things a couple of times, im lucky the fuse reset worked.
Yes, these do have codes by the way.

Boy would i like to get my moneys worty from this guy!!!
I took the car to the dealer Tuesday and after 31/2 hr.s and 420.00 they told me they tried the software up update of the audio gateway. & found no change they found CTEL module not sending out fiber optic signal and told me to replace CTEL module. they also found fault with the audio gateway. & recommend replacing the audio gateway. the price of the CTEL module 422.00 the price of the audio gateway 2.193.60. they told me my Hu, is good . and they no that because they took it out and put it in another car. I told the service mg that they could by pass the ctel module and see if the radio would play he told me that they where not allowed to do that. any way i found a CTEL module on ebay for 55.00 and well but it in first. so does any one no where Ctel mod is located ?
