do hood emblems come installed from the factory?

do hood emblems come installed from the factory?
or are they installed at the dealer? i am looking at some pictures from a dealer of a new car and they show no emblem on the hood, thanks

They come with White "contact paper" on all horizontal surfaces, cardboard covering all door sills, tape on 3 doors that say "Don't Open" (in German Nist Offenen, I think). Plastic bump protectors everywhere. All in all they come extremely well wrapped and protected. Not like a car at all but as well protected as a new Flat Screen TV... and yes the hood ornament is installed at the Dealer at the same time specific cars are unwrapped for display on his lot. The wrapped cars are typically kept in a storage area of the Dealership while the unwrapped ones are in his display areas where customers will see them.

I visited the dealership the day my car arrived and they showed it to me shortly after they removed the sealed box it was shipped in. It was like a previous poster said: still covered with lots of protective wrapping, and with the hood ornament not installed. I actually took delivery 2 days later after the dealer "unwrapped" it and installed the ornament, among other things.
