I have been looking for a thread for a DIY oil change but can't seem to find one for the W211, any help would be appreciated.

The '03 E320 takes 8 liters or 8.5 qts of oil with a filter change. Don't overfill.

No. Different engine. The "63" engine specifically recommends draining. Many of the others are changed by just sucking the oil up through the dip stick. Also, you have more oil choices which will maintain your warrantee.

Now most of us don't have a dip stick extractor, so draining is still the only option, which is fine. The "55" engines have 2 drain plugs that must be replaced each time. Not just the washer, but the whole plug. But those engines also allow for the suck method.

Assume you will find a plastic shield, but it is likely a little different. The oil pan may be exposed and you do not need to remove anything.
