04 E320 front air ride strut replacing.......

What brand should I go with?
My passenger front blew on the way home from the dealer today.
I'll have to order it. I don't know any places in San Diego that would carry it. I'm not going to the dealership for it.
Rock Auto has Arnott's 470$ I can only afford to do one right now

Arnott air struts have a lifetime warranty, but they seem to last a long time. If you have a 4Matic they'll also buy back your old struts for rebuilding.

Can't believe how easy they are to change out. The new one should be here tomorrow.

Is there a market for these blown struts?
I don't want to just toss it in the trash.

Arnott might buy it back. Their website says they're looking for 4Matic struts, but it might be worth giving them a call anyways and seeing if they offer you anything for it.

Ok
I'll give them a call and check thank you.
I'm going to install the new one today. Just going to research how to collapse it a little to get it in .

Had the same problem. Turns out the Arnott was defective. Had them send me a new one and the error message went away.

I put more miles on,the error message went away.
Removed the front plate and painted some trim that had peeling clear coat.
Looks better without the front plate

Your car is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
By the way, if Arnott does not want your core; it looks like RMT may be worthwhile to look at: http://www.rebuildmastertech.com/we-buy-cores/
