As for the installation, i will suggest you find a local audio place that have experience with Mercedes. They should be able to install that for you.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
the nav was pre-installed by Mercedes
located in the left side panel. When i removed it
I also removed the bracket. I can ship that together
if u need it. I am not sure what u mean by splitter and carpet.
I am only selling both devices. Younshould
be able to connect it using your factory cables.
Or I will suggest u to have the professional install it.
I really don't know how to connect this things lol.
Thanks,
John
The Splitter is for the Satellite Antenna signal.. it IS required.. it replaces an antenna junction located on the top left panel behind the carpeting, near the trunk hinge. It splits the Sat antenna between the teleAid and the Nav unit. (even if the tele aid is not active or used, you need the splitter or you'll get errors)
There is also a fiber optic cable that needs to be connected to bring the Nav unit into the MOST network. It's usually located under the rear passenger door sill or in the C Pillar.
I did retro fit on an 03 E320. Since the side carpet panel wasn't available anymore, I mounted the Nav unit under the rear shelf.
You'll also need the Navigation Disc
Installation was fairly easy.. took about 2 hours.
